Do you miss having a special night out in the City? Going out to dinner, maybe catching a show? Don’t worry - you can still “treat yourself” with some gourmet food and culture while social distancing at home!

MASA, located in The Shops at Columbus Circle and run by head Chef Masayoshi Takayama, has launched a sushi box set available for delivery. According to a recent Eater article, the take-out boxes go for $800/box and have enough food to feed up to four people. With the kit, customers receive rice, four pieces of toasted bread, 25 small sheets of nori, ginger and wasabi, and an array of fish, including slices of kanpachi, toro, salmon, akami tuna, tai sea bream, toro sashimi, and even Osetra caviar. The boxes are only available on Fridays and are delivered from 3:30pm - 5:00pm. There is currently a two week waitlist to receive a box delivery, so call MASA at (212) 823-9800 to put your name down to purchase a special sushi dinner!

Jean-Georges has also begun rolling out curbside pickup and delivery! Starting with two downtown locations, customers can expect delicious food from The Mercer Kitchen Thursday through Monday from 4:00pm – 9:00pm and from Perry St. Tuesday – Sunday from 4:00pm – 9:00pm. In the following weeks, Jean-Georges/Nougatine has indicated plans to roll out delivery and pickup options from the location at 1 Central Park West. We are thrilled to see restaurants and other businesses opening back up safely for the community.

And, why not pair your gourmet dinner with some culture? Check out our Virtual Events Calendar to explore the different events that you can experience at home from all of Lincoln Square’s notable cultural institutions. You could queue up an HD video from The Metropolitan Opera's nightly series, stream a free play from Lincoln Center Theater, or catch works from the New York City Ballet's repertory streamed on Friday nights. There is a lot to choose from! Staying home and indulging in fine dining and culture is good for both your health and your spirits.
