MAD's Jewelry Atelier Classes

Interested in making wearable art? The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) has started a series of Atelier classes where practicing artists will teach the skills they employ to design and create contemporary art jewelry. These intensive, two-hour workshops will expand your knowledge of the contemporary art jewelry scene while fabricating your own pieces using readily available materials.

In this intimate “atelier” setting, personalized instruction will be tailored to each participant’s skill levels and interests, with time allotted for sharing work with fellow aspiring artisans. There are currently three Tuesday classes scheduled: Wearable Sculpture on April 20 at 7:00pm; Wound Paper Beads on May 4 at 7:00pm; and Ready-Made Pins and Earrings on May 11 at 7:00pm. Classes are $35 each ($25 for members).

MAD Atelier is open to adults 18 and older of all skill levels. Space is limited. Closed captioning is available. Click here to view MAD’s current Online Learning Lab offerings.
