March for Babies 2019 & 1-Block Street Fair

The March for Babies will take place on Sunday, April 28.  The NYPD is expecting about 5,000 people at this event. As in past years, the formation will be on Columbus Avenue between 61^st Street and 65^th Street.  The route will begin at 65^th Street and Columbus Avenue, continuing east on 65^th Street toward Central Park. The march will end on Lexington Ave between 24^th and 26^th Streets.  Columbus Avenue from 61^st to 65^th Streets will be closed to traffic as early as 7:00am, as will 65^th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West.  The march will begin 10:00am, and street closures may remain in effect until as late as 4:00pm, at the discretion of the NYPD. Additionally, there will be a 1-block street fair taking place on the east side of Broadway between 60^th Street and 61^st Street on Saturday, April 27.  The fair will begin at 10:00am, though set-up could begin as early as 8:00am, and will conclude by 6:00pm. Broadway from 60^th - 61^st Streets will be opened back up to traffic by 8:00pm.
