March for Our Lives No Parking/Street Closure Info

On Saturday, March 24 beginning at 11:00am, The March for Our Lives, a march dedicated to demanding stricter gun control legislation, will take place. The march will begin on the Upper West Side at Central Park’s 72nd Street entrance. Participants will arrive between 10:00am and 11:00am for a rally taking place before the march at 11:00am. Following the rally, participants will march down Central Park West to Central Park South, turning east on Central Park South and continuing to 6th Avenue. The march will turn south onto 6th Avenue and continue down to 43rd Street where the march will end.

According to information our office received from the NYPD (which may change), we understand there will be no parking rules and possible towing. There may also be additional street closures. In our area, no parking rules will apply to the following locations: 

  • Central Park West from West 59th St. to West 86th St. - Both sides
  • One car length in (North & South sides) from Central Park West to Broadway/ Columbus on the following streets: West 63, 64, 67, 68, 69, 73, 74, 75, 82, 83, 84, 85.
  • East side of Columbus Ave from West 65th St. to West 77th St.
  • West side of Broadway from West 63rd St. to West 64th St.
  • West side of Central Park West from West 86th St. to West 87th St.
  • East side of Broadway from Columbus Circle to West 65th St.
  • West 61st St. from Central Park West to Broadway - Both sides
  • West 62nd St. from Central Park West to Broadway - Both sides
  • West 62nd St. from Columbus Ave to Amsterdam Ave - North side only
  • West 71st St. from Central Park West to Columbus Ave - North side only AND one car length (South side) from Central Park West to Columbus Ave
  • West 72nd St. from Central park West to Columbus Ave - Both sides
  • West 76th St. from Central Park West to Columbus Ave -  North side only AND one car length (South side) from Central Park West to Columbus Ave
  • West 77th St. from Central Park West to Columbus Ave - Both sides

Central Park West from 59th to 86th Street will also be closed to traffic on Saturday. All the other streets listed above are also subject to potential closure, and will be determined as and if needed by the NYPD. The NYPD has also put out no parking signs on Broadway for both Friday and Saturday.
