Change up your routine and grab tickets to a show at The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater (or, Little Theater). This spot provides space for live performances, industry showcases, professional performances, film screenings, and more at the West Side YMCA, located at 10 West 64th Street, between Broadway and Central Park West. This May, there are a handful of dance performances and dramas to enjoy, perfect for getting you out of the house and into the audience of unique cultural entertainment. 
 
On Friday, May 4 at 7:00pm, grab tickets to watch the 2nd Annual 10-Minute Play FestivalThis short play festival presented by the Writer's Voice program is an opportunity for amateur and professional playwrights to showcase their work. Last year's festival featured works ranging from comedy to tragedy and everything in between. Join patrons at the Little Theater to support playwrights, directors and actors in their craft. General admission tickets start at $21. 
 
On Saturday, May 12 at 2:00pm and 6:00pm, the Teen Theater Collective will put on a production of Metamorphoses by Mary Zimmerman. This play brings Ovid's poetic tales to stunning visual life, set in and around a symbolic pool of water onstage, juxtaposing the ancient and the contemporary in both language and image, to reflect the variety and persistence of narrative in the face of inevitable change. This adaptation has won several Tony Awards, so don't miss your opportunity to enjoy talented teens onstage for $19 per ticket
 
Between Thursday, May 17 and Saturday, May 19, you can enjoy dance performances at the 4th Annual Footprints Modern Dance Festival. Footprints is a dance festival that celebrates the work of emerging and established modern choreographers on the stage of the Little Theater. This 4th annual festival, curated by Amanda Selwyn, features innovative works of contemporary dance with a strong theatrical aesthetic. Each performance begins at 7:00pm and general admission tickets are $21.
