The Lincoln Square BID Public Safety Team, employed by Allied Universal, offers aid and information to Lincoln Square’s residents, workers, students and visitors every day. Deterrents of crime, the Public Safety Officers spot problems and address them before they can escalate. They often help those who are lost, whether pedestrians looking for directions or items needing to be returned to their owners. After profiling Carlos Valladares, Clean Team Supervisor, two weeks ago, we want to introduce one of our longstanding Public Safety Supervisors, Henry Settles.

Henry began working on behalf of the Lincoln Square BID in October of 1999 – just over 21 years ago! He started as an officer and worked his way up to become a Supervisor in 2009. Henry is unflappable when handling unusual events and conditions while out on patrol, and is particularly adept at situations that require the assistance of city agencies like the NYPD, EMS, and the Department of Homeless Services. He enjoys the sense of community he feels while working in the neighborhood, and he loves the holiday spirit that Lincoln Square displays every year!

If you ever need help or have a question while you’re out and about in Lincoln Square, just find Henry!
