As we continue our series profiling key members of our teams that help keep Lincoln Square clean, safe and beautiful, we’d like to introduce you to our crew from Goddard Riverside. The Green Keepers have been working for the Lincoln Square BID from the very beginning – this organization was the first we contracted with in June 1997, and they are part of our family.

Tom Tychi (second from left) has been working with the Lincoln Square BID since 2003, and he seldom misses a day. He's an excellent team member and a great gardener too. Tom loves working in the neighborhood and being in an area that is the cultural heart of New York City.

Ashley Smith (second from right) has been a crew leader at the Lincoln Square BID since 2008. He's an Upper West Side resident himself and really enjoys the work at the BID. He likes the hustle and bustle of the area, and he too rarely misses a day. During the spring and summer months he works for a small company called Curb Allure installing tree guards.

Darrell Wright (not pictured) is the newest addition to the Lincoln Square crew starting in December 2020. However, Darrell has been with Green Keepers since 2013 so he is not new to the work. He takes great pride in his ability to get along with everyone. Even though he lives in the Bronx, Darrell loves the early shift and the route at Lincoln Square. In the afternoons, he often works as a Crew Leader for Green Keepers on other locations.

Anthony Leonard (not pictured) has been working with the Lincoln Square crew since August 2020. He shows up early for work every day faithfully. He really likes to walk around the area after work exploring the many food choices. He has been a Green Keeper since July 2018 and previously worked for Broadway Mall Association and Riverside Park. Anthony loves to travel, and every year he has taken a bus trip down south to explore new areas and visit family members.

Season King (far left) is working as a fill in while Anthony is vacationing down south. He has been a Green Keeper since August 2019 and loves the assignment, as he's an early riser and enjoys the Lincoln Center area. He works on other Green Keeper assignments in the afternoon, more recently in Roosevelt Park, surrounding the American Museum of Natural History.

We are proud of our long term partnership with Goddard and are grateful for our Greenkeepers’ dedication to the Lincoln Square BID and the neighborhood. And, thank you to Deborah Kaplan for her role in overseeing this special partnership, as well as providing this great image and description of the Goddard crew.
