More Drinks To-Go Guidance from SBS

As of April 11, the NYS Alcoholic Beverage Control Law contains privileges for on premises licenses to serve liquor and wine to-go for both take-out and delivery. The NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) recently sent around guidance for licensed venues which you can view an infographic for here. The infographic explains how “Alcohol To-Go” must be packaged, pricing requirements, and more. According to the guidance, selling bottles of wine or spirits to-go is not legal and alcoholic drinks to-go must be sold with a “substantial food item”. You can click here to read the SLA's Advisory on the Sale of Wine and Liquor To-Go by On Premises Retail LicenseesClick here to access the SLA's web page with the new law, SLA Guidance, and FAQ on Sale of Wine and Liquor To-Go by On Premises Retail Licensees.

If you do happen to want a bottle of wine to-go, you can always stop into Le French Wine Shop at 161 Amsterdam Avenue (at West 67th Street) for delicious bottles of wine and daily tastings, too.
