There are some great new updates to report from around the district, one of which is especially exciting if you’re a movie buff.

AMC Lincoln Square 13 (1998 Broadway at West 66th Street) is planning to open on Friday, March 5 within the guidelines of the Governor’s announcement. The theater will implement the company’s AMC Safe & Clean policies which include information about acceptable face masks, social distancing standards, reduced capacity, and more, including new technology implemented to keep theaters disinfected. Click here to review the policies. AMC has also introduced a new welcome back program, offering guests 30% off of matinee tickets (shows before 5:00pm) every day. You can purchase tickets for upcoming shows at AMC Lincoln Square 13 here—just select the date in the dropdown. Enjoy Nomadland--winner of a Golden Globe for Best Picture Drama, Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon, sci-fi/adventure flick Chaos Walking, and more on the big screen. Plus, AMC is offering private theater rentals for certain screenings which you can learn about here.

Additionally, we’ve written about Restart Stages at Lincoln Center, which will bring back performing arts and other community programming in early April, which will include screenings from Film at Lincoln Center. Check it out here.

Last week indoor dining capacity for patrons at restaurants and other food service establishments increased to 35%. Many of our restaurants had already opened for indoor dining earlier in the month, but last week Momofuku Noodle Bar and Tartinery inside of The Shops at Columbus Circle (10 Columbus Circle) also began offering indoor dining with table service. Click here to check out what’s open for indoor dining at The Shops at Columbus Circle.

On Monday, March 8, Lincoln Square’s local up-scale Chinese restaurant Shun Lee West (43 West 65th Street at Broadway) will begin offering delivery and takeout daily. You can finally satisfy your cravings for lo mein, egg foo young, and more from a long-time neighborhood staple. Check back in with Shun Lee West’s website for updates.

These are just a few positive Lincoln Square updates. Check in with the news section of our website for more neighborhood news and check out businesses open on our Neighborhood Guide.
