Governor Cuomo recently announced new guidelines allowing out-of-state travelers to New York to “test out” of the mandatory 14-day quarantine. Travelers must get tested within three days prior to landing in New York, quarantine for at least 3 days upon arrival, and get a test on the fourth day. If travelers test negative, they may exit quarantine when they receive the negative result. States contiguous to New York and essential workers are exempt.

Click here to view the State’s full guidelines regarding travel protocol, effective Wednesday, November 4. The guidelines require all New Yorkers, as well as those visiting from out of state, to take personal responsibility for compliance in the best interest of public health and safety. Covered travelers from contiguous states must continue to fill out the Traveler Health Form.
