Things are looking up in Lincoln Square! Pedestrian traffic has increased, and there are some new openings happening in and just outside the district.

Old John’s Diner (148 West 67th Street at Amsterdam Avenue) is reopening soon. A favorite among residents and Lincoln Center patrons, Old John’s Diner, originally called Old John's Luncheonette, has been a Lincoln Square staple for 70 years. After closing in October amid the pandemic, the restaurant is making a comeback under new ownership, new name and a revamped look. We are so excited to have Old John’s back in business!

The West Side Rag has reported that Canadian outdoor clothing company, Arc’teryx, is moving into the former Saje space at 156 Columbus Avenue (at West 67th Street) on Saturday, July 17. They are hosting a First 100 Win Giveaway, where winners will receive a prize from the new Upper West Side store. Click here to enter. And, throughout the month of July, Arc’teryx will be giving the community the opportunity to come by the new store to “spin the wheel” and win prizes!

Starbucks is opening a new location at 159 Columbus Avenue at West 67th Street. This new location will join two other local Starbucks at 1889 Broadway (at West 63rd Street) and 141 Amsterdam Avenue (at West 66th Street).
