New POPS Signage and Seating Regulations

A number of our Lincoln Square property owners have POPS, which are privately owned public spaces. POPS include plazas, arcades, sidewalk widenings and other publicly accessible spaces that were created by a variance or floor area bonus. For those who operate POPS, the City Council has adopted zoning text updates to the Department of City Planning's Zoning Rules allowing seating in more POPS and requiring clear, updated signage in all POPS.
