New Restrictions for Restaurants/Bars, Gyms, and Parties from Gov. Cuomo

Governor Cuomo has announced new measures in response to rising numbers of COVID-19 cases around the state.

The new guidelines mandate that any establishment with a state liquor license, including bars and restaurants, must close at 10:00pm. After 10:00pm, restaurants can offer curbside pickup of food only. The Governor also announced that gyms must also close at 10:00pm and that parties in private homes can have no more than 10 people in attendance.

The Governor indicated that contact tracing has identified house parties, gyms, and restaurants/bars as the main virus spreaders which is why New York is acting proactively to help curb rising cases. These new statewide rules took effect Friday, November 13, at 10:00pm. Click here to read the transcript from the press conference.
