New Senior Advisor for Recovery and Planning: Terence Monahan

Congratulations to “Chief” Terence Monahan on his new position at City Hall as a Senior Advisor for Recovery and Planning. After retiring from an illustrious 39-year career with the NYPD, Chief Monahan responded to the Mayor’s call and promptly assumed this new position.

Chief Monahan and other City officials recently met with BID leaders about the challenges ahead and we were encouraged by his positivity, and his statement that “You can’t stop New York”, with which we wholeheartedly agree. The Lincoln Square BID has always enjoyed a strong working relationship with the NYPD’s 20th Precinct and we appreciate that NYPD Officers are out 24/7, which is especially important as New York City recovers. "Chief" Monahan recognizes the value of partnerships with BIDs and other stakeholders to make sure recovery for the City is successful. We look forward to working with "Chief" Monahan to address the many quality of life issues to insure that New York City bounces back quickly.
