New To The Team: Ian Hartz
We are excited to welcome new staff member Ian Hartz to the Lincoln Square BID team! Having joined us in February 2019 as Senior Project Manager, Ian will be responsible for managing Lincoln Square BID's data and visualization as well as providing research and guidance on urban planning and design issues affecting the District, and other special projects.

Prior to joining Lincoln Square BID, Ian was a Project Manager for Planning & Development at the Long Island City Partnership, where he oversaw initiatives to revitalize the manufacturing and commercial district of LIC southeast of the Sunnyside Yard. In that role, Ian liaised with City agencies to improve street conditions in order to ease operational issues for local businesses.

Ian is a graduate of NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service where he received a Master of Urban Planning degree with a specialization in economic development. At Wagner, he was the recipient of the Public Service Scholarship and Editor of the Wagner Planner. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from NYU's College of Arts & Science, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude. His undergraduate thesis examined how the design and density of the built environment affect our mental and physical health.

When he's not focused on urban planning, Ian spends his time either making ceramics or exploring the many cultural institutions and museums throughout the City. Say hi to Ian when you see him around the district--he might be mapping our street furniture or collecting business data!
