New York Cares Pop-Ups
Now open inside of a storefront at 30 Lincoln Plaza, New York Cares is hosting a special 5-day pop-up this week only as part of its Annual Coat Drive. This winter marks the 30th Anniversary of the Annual Coat Drive, putting the nonprofit organization on track to deliver its 2 millionth donated coat! Harnessing the kindness of New Yorkers alike, New York Cares works to keep the city's most vulnerable residents warm through the coldest time of year and this pop-up will help support the Coat Drive's mission. The shop (decorated with wallpaper and decor for the occasion) is open now through Saturday, December 15 from 7:30am to 3:30pm. Lincoln Square locals and visitors will have the opportunity to shop their closets and drop off new or gently used coats in person and get a closer look at how their donation will help those in need this winter. A special thank you to our local property owner Milstein Properties for working with New York Cares to set up this pop-up spot.

This is the first of two New York Cares pop-up shops. The second will open in Union Square from Tuesday, December 18 through Saturday, December 22. Outside of the pop-ups, coats can also be dropped off at almost 300 public sites around the city through December 31, 2018. Locations throughout the five boroughs include all NYC Police Precincts, nearly two hundred Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association (GNYADA) locations, and major transit hubs. Check with New York Cares for specific details.
