New York Public Library Celebrates 125 Years

The New York Public Library is celebrating its 125th Anniversary throughout 2020. To commemorate its 125th year of serving the public with open access to knowledge and opportunity, the New York Public Library is offering many special events and promotions to New Yorkers throughout the year.
 
The New York Public Library released their top 10 checkouts of all time, with The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats coming in at number one. In honor of the 125th Anniversary and the number one checkout of all time, the NYPL is offering a limited-edition library card and MetroCard featuring art from The Snowy Day. The library card is available at all NYPL locations. The MetroCard is available at 10 subway stations around the city, including the 59th Street - Columbus Circle Station in the Lincoln Square district.
