NYC: Alternate Side Parking Resumes for 1 Week

After ongoing suspension due to COVID-19, New York City will resume alternate side parking rules for one week from Monday, May 18 to Sunday, May 24 according to the Mayor's Office.

Alternate side parking suspension will continue through Sunday, May 17, but rules will back in place for the following week to address litter in the streets. During the week-long street cleaning, there will be two suspensions of alternate side parking on Thursday, May 21 and Sunday, May 24 for the religious observances of Ascension Day and Eid-al-Fitr, respectively, according to the City.

The parking rules will again be suspended for the following two weeks from Monday, May 25 through Sunday, June 7 during which the NYC Department of Sanitation will reassess cleanliness. Click here for a COVID-19 Alternate Side Parking and Street Cleaning brief from 311.
