NYCDDC Upgrades Along 9th Ave

The NYC Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC) is managing a capital improvement project along 9th Avenue in the Hell’s Kitchen area. The project is anticipated to be complete by March 2022. Click here to read the DDC Newsletter with more details about the project. 

According to the newsletter, during construction hours, you can expect the following: Pedestrian access to businesses and buildings will be maintained at all times. Vehicular travel closures may be required, as well as detours. Warning signs will be posted in advance. Traffic mitigation personnel, proper signage and MPT will be installed in/around the construction area to alert and direct motorists; this includes Traffic Enforcement Agents (TEA’s), Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Uniform Flaggers (UF).
