NYPL Community Resources & More

You can still access resources from the New York Public Library (NYPL), despite physical locations being closed across the City. NYPL has compiled free digital library materials and informaion online that might be helpful to local business owners and residents. Check out the details below!

The NYPL's website has a community resource page with information on business/career/finance support services, health and wellness services, food security and housing/tenants rights

There is a separate page just for small business resources and the library is also offering free one-on-one career coaching and resilience counseling services by phone or Skype, and other databases for job hunting.

The public is still able to access digital resources, including the SimplyE app (any New Yorker with Internet access can sign up for a digital card this way), online remote educational resources for kids/teens/educators, e-books and digital audiobooks, and the college and career pathways website (which has links to free online tutoring services with Brainfuse program and free one-on-one career/college counseling services).

The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and Creative Capital  also put together a very comprehensive list of coronavirus-related support grants, programs and other resources to help artists, performers, freelancers, writers and arts-organizations:
