Our Information Ambassadors are Back!

Do you need ideas of fun activities and interesting sites to visit around the neighborhood? Stop by one of our Neighborhood Information Carts and speak to an Information Ambassador this summer! Every summer (thanks in part to funding from Council Member Helen Rosenthal) we staff our Information Carts, located at Columbus Circle, Dante Park and Richard Tucker Park, with a number of college and high-school aged students. Look out for familiar Ambassadors returning to the position from previous summers, as well as friendly new faces that will be around to help. Our Ambassadors will be available to provide directions, information and answer any other questions you have about places to go and things to do in Lincoln Square and all of New York City. Additionally, Ambassadors can help you navigate NYC subway and bus routes, pass out local museum pamphlets, clue you in on summer programming around the area, and more!

 

Our program was off to an exciting start last Wednesday, July 3, beginning concurrent with our Lunchtime Concert Series. During their shift, one of our Information Ambassador Supervisors was alert and acted quickly to notify our Public Safety Supervisor of an emotionally disturbed individual beginning to start a scene in Richard Tucker Park. Later on, that same individual was arrested for theft at a local retail business and our Public Safety Officers were able to work with the 20th Precinct on the matter. Our Information Ambassadors are not only helpful to the public, but help us foster a stronger and more alert community, too. 

 

Information Ambassadors will be out at the carts Monday through Friday throughout July and August from 12 noon until 6:00pm. Stop by and say hello while you're out and about in Lincoln Square - you might learn something new!
