Pick a Lincoln Square Podcast to Enjoy

At this point in NYC’s PAUSE due to COVID-19, your eyes might need a break from technology. Between binge watching a new show, remote work, and e-books, we’ve all been viewing a lot of digital content as we stay home and keep safe. But besides listening to music, have you considered tuning into a fun or educational podcast? Podcasts are terrific entertainment to enjoy as you take a long walk to get in your steps or just to pass the time at home. Check out the list below for some options!

  • City Ballet The Podcast: this New York City Ballet podcast travels through NYCB history, discusses new and existing productions, and reveals insider tidbits.
  • Film at Lincoln Center Podcast: a free weekly podcast featuring in-depth conversations with filmmakers, actors, critics, and more.
  • Listening Through Time: this podcast compares how New York Philharmonic musicians have played certain melodies and passages in a variety of works over time.
  • The Met: In Focus: explores the operatic masterpieces presented in the Metropolitan Opera’s award-winning Live in HD series.
  • Aria Code: WQXR, the Metropolitan Opera, and WNYC Studios present a podcast series exploring opera’s most legendary arias.

You can access these podcasts straight from the websites provided, but you can also use a third-party streaming application for most to download episodes, get updated automatically on new episodes, and listen to episodes seamlessly. You can use Spotify, Apple’s Podcast App, Stitcher, and others. Pick your preferred application and use the search feature to find podcasts. It’s easy and podcasts really work well to supplement your time while cleaning, cooking, or just relaxing.
