On Monday, December 2, 2019, the Lincoln Square BID will present the 20th Annual Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square, transforming the Upper West Side into a small town for one night to kick off the holiday season! With just over a month left on our countdown clock, the BID has been busy securing talent, lining up restaurants for the food tastings, and making sure the 20th anniversary is the most exciting celebration yet!

Winter's Eve is New York's largest holiday festival and starts with the Lincoln Square BID's Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony in Dante Park (Broadway and 63rd Street) at 5:30pm and will feature rock icon Ronnie Spector & The Ronettes, Emcee Jawan M. Jackson, The Met Opera, WABC-TV and more.

This unique celebration begins at The Shops at Columbus Circle and continues on and around Broadway up to 70th Street, offering free live music at more than 20 indoor and outdoor performance venues, outdoor food tastings at nominal cost from fantastic local eateries, dancing, and holiday fun for all ages.

Other musical entertainment includes Grupo Rebolu and Nathan & The Zydeco Cha Chas on the Dante Park Main Stage post-tree lighting; Alicia Svigals' Klezmer Fiddle Express and Jules & The Jinks in Richard Tucker Park; Melanie Charles Trio inside of the American Folk Art Museum, the Winter's Eve jazz venue; New York City Swing and DJ Mikey Palms at the TD Bank Dance Tent; and much more. There will also be multicultural dance performances, lion dancers, ice sculpting, and street theater, including the iconic lighted frost puppets that parade through Lincoln Square throughout the evening. Click here for a running list of entertainment.

For family friendly excitement, bring your little ones to Kids' Central at Raymour & Flanigan and enjoy high-energy bilingual pop music with Twinkle Time, activities with the West Side Y, The New Victory Theater, THIRTEEN, and more. Click here to read about all of the kid-friendly happenings at Winter's Eve

We're also lining up local restaurants for the popular outdoor food tasting component of the celebration. If you haven't yet signed up to participate in the Outdoor Food Tastings, contact us immediately--space is limited. And many of our businesses and organization's have signed up to participate in the festivities, including a performance from String N Skins at the David Rubenstein Atrium and Broadway Under the Stars, Jack Frost, and more at The Shops at Columbus Circle.

As December 2 gets closer, we will be updating the Winter's Eve website regularly with more food, fun, and entertainment. Come welcome the holiday season in our special Upper West Side neighborhood! Head to www.winterseve.nyc to learn more about the celebration.
