Protest Activity: 4.16.21

We have been notified by the NYPD that there is scheduled protest activity taking place near Columbus Circle at 4:00pm, today, Friday, April 16. The groups Black Lives Matter NYC and Justice For George NYC will hold a “Policing the Police” rally against police brutality, which will begin at Columbus Circle then march to an unknown location. The NYPD has closed Central Park West at West 60th Street to northbound vehicular and pedestrian traffic. West 61st Street between Broadway and Central Park West is also closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
