Rampoldi Brings Monaco’s Glitz and Glam to Lincoln Square
Sep 27, 2023At its grand opening on September 18, 2023, a red Ferrari and a red carpet framed the entrance of Rampoldi on W 64th Street. Inside, celebrity guests, including Prince Albert II of Monaco, met the Michelin-starred chef, Antonio Alfredo Salvatore. Mayor Adams himself was posted on the restaurant’s Instagram, cutting into an extravagant, four-tiered cake decorated elaborately with flowers, piped icing, and the restaurant’s name, “Rampoldi.”
Rampoldi first opened in Monte Carlo in 1946. Its emphasis is on quality—from its service to its ingredients, the restaurant focuses on creating a luxury experience for guests. This same fine dining experience is now being replicated on the Upper West Side, with an interior that mirrors the original restaurant. Chandeliers, arched mirrors, and white table cloths create an elegant ambiance.
The menu is a mix of French haute cuisine and traditional Italian cooking. Caviar, lobster spaghetti, and a Grand Marnier Soufflé—this is fine dining at its peak. To drink, guests can try one of seven signature cocktails or explore the restaurant’s extensive wine menu.
Reservations can be made via Resy; just remember to dress appropriately. The page notes that “athletic wear, t-shirts, baseball hats, flip flops, large logos, and overly distressed or revealing clothing is not permitted.”
Bon appetit!
