Ring in the Year of the Ox in Lincoln Square

Lunar New Year begins on Friday, February 12, and many Lincoln Square businesses and organizations have offerings to celebrate the Year of the Ox!

Attend the Museum of Arts and Design’s Lunar New Year Digital Drop-in on Saturday, February 13 at 10:00am for a fun and informal workshop on how to make paper cutouts for the holiday, led by artist and MAD artist educator Jocelyn Hsin-Ju Yang. Digital Drop-ins are for participants of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels. Tickets are $10 for the general public and free for Members, Patrons and students. Join the The New York Philharmonic Orchestra on Tuesday, February 16 at 7:00pm for their festive Lunar New Year: Celebrating the Year of Ox program of Asian and Western music. There will be surprise guests and past Lunar New Year concert highlights featuring the likes of Maestro Long Yu and superstar pianist Lang Lang, collaborations with Shanghai Orchestra Academy students and Shanghai Symphony Orchestra musicians, and more.
