Sing for Hope Pianos Debut

This month, Sing for Hope, an NYC-based non-profit, is making musical arts accessible to all through its Sing For Hopes Pianos program. Standing as New York City's largest recurring public art project, the Sing for Hope Pianos initiative brings brightly colored pianos to the parks and public spaces of NYC's five boroughs for anyone and everyone to play. Fifty pianos uniquely painted and designed by artists around the City will serve as gathering places in NYC communities from Friday, June 5 - Sunday, June 24, hosting impromptu concerts by both professionals and amateurs in an open and inviting atmosphere. In Lincoln Square, a piano designed by visual artist Natalia D'onofrio is set up on Lincoln Center's campus near Charles B. Benenson Grove at Columbus Ave and 62nd Street. Click here to see a full list of this year's piano locations and artists.
