August is a popular time of the year to travel, but why not spend a staycation in Lincoln Square? In the neighborhood, there are plenty of activities and promotions that will make you feel like you can treat yourself like you're on holiday!
 
At Film at Lincoln Center, there are still a few more free double feature weekly screenings left to celebrate their 50 year anniversary on Thursdays through September 11. Click here to see the line-up and beat the heat of August inside of the Walter Reade Theater for some fun Thursday nights. Also, in remembrance of Toni Morrison, Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am will return to Film at Lincoln Center this Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11 at 12-noon. This week also brings the final few days of Lincoln Center Out of Doors, a series of free music, spoken word, and dance performances at Damrosch Park and on Lincoln Center's plaza.
