It may feel like spring has just begun, but we’re looking ahead to warm summer weather. While summer camps went virtual last year, many are reopening for in-person sessions this summer! If you’re looking for options for your kids to participate in while they’re out of school, check out these fantastic camps in and around Lincoln Square.

Registration for the Summer Music Theater Workshop at the Lucy Moses School at Kaufman Music Center (129 West 67th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue) is now open! Children and teenagers ages 6 to 15 years old will create original musical plays under the direction of a caring and talented faculty of performing artists/educators. This five-week workshop includes classes in acting, singing, dance and stagecraft. The summer workshop runs from Monday, June 28 through Thursday, July 29. Click here to register.

The West Side Y (5 West 63rd Street between Broadway and Central Park West) offers a Traditional Summer Day Camp for kids ages 5 to 12 years old. Y campers stretch themselves physically and creatively. They play games, read, create books, and write poetry. They also participate in science experiments, solve puzzles, craft art, and perform music and shows. The camp has four sessions that run between Monday, July 5 to Friday, August 27. Click here to learn more and to register. Note that the early bird deadline for a discounted rate is Sunday, April 18.

The Marlene Meyerson JCC (334 Amsterdam Avenue at West 76th Street) offers two different summer camps. The first is a Summer Day Camp at their Manhattan location that serves children ages 3 to 6 years old. There are two sessions that run between the dates Tuesday, June 22 and Thursday, August 12. Additionally, the JCC runs Camp Settoga, located 30 minutes outside the City in Pomona, New York for children ages 4 to 12 years old. The full season of the camp begins on Monday, June 28 and ends on Thursday, August 19.
