Supportive Resources for Small Businesses

As New York City continues down the long path to recovery, small business assistance may still be needed to handle a number of pandemic-related issues. 

NYC Department of Small Business Services has gathered a number of resources available to COVID-19 impacted business. This includes a handbook filled with tools, technologies, and strategies to help entrepreneurs stabilize their business, protect their staff and customers, and build and grow beyond the pandemic as well as a multi-session workshop series run by business experts.

NYC Small Business Resource Network is another one-stop shop for recovery support during these difficult times. The organization offers assistance in technology, real estate, legal and accounting services, procurement opportunities, marketing, sources of loans and grants, and more. Click here to check out the available resources. 

Pratt Institute’s Made in NYC Center has compiled a number of relevant resources for COVID-19 impacted businesses. This special web page features a live list of links connecting New York City manufacturers, small businesses, and entrepreneurs to financial relief and other resources during the COVID-19 global pandemic. In addition, The Harvard Business School (HBS) Club of New York is offering free one-on-one coaching sessions for small NYC businesses facing issues related to the COVID-19 shutdown. HBS alumni can offer assistance with landlord negotiations, finding business loans, navigating the PPP system, marketing, budgeting, and more. Click here to fill out a form to get started. This service includes: individualized sessions held via Zoom and facilitated by one or more HBS alumni consultants and session topics are tailored to the client’s specific business needs.
