Genji Izakaya is a bustling, informal sushi bar inside of Whole Foods Market (10 Columbus Circle). There, a small team of sushi chefs prepare a variety of rolls, sashimi, tempura, and rice bowls. You can also grab pre-made sushi rolls and more, all of which is made fresh daily, from the refrigerated display case in front of the counter area. Enjoy crunchy tuna rolls, a salmon nigiri/roll combo, a spicy salmon salad rice bowl, shrimp summer rolls with sweet chili sauce, and much more. Newly reopened and reimagined, Atlantic Grill (50 West 65th Street at Broadway) is once again a fantastic destination for seafood, including quality sushi and sashimi made-to-order. Open for lunch and dinner, Tuesday – Sunday, from 12:00pm-3:00pm and 5:00pm-10:00pm, you can enjoy delicious sushi for either meal. Atlantic Grill’s menu features specialty rolls, such as a tiger prawn roll or a yuzu yellowtail roll, classic rolls, including a tuna avocado roll and a spicy California roll, and sashimi pieces priced individually. For a unique sushi experience, even for lunch, check out Bar Masa (10 Columbus Circle), the sister location to the famous Masa, that serves an à la carte (and optional omakase) menu for lunch and dinner. Open from 12:00pm-3:00pm on Thursday – Saturday and 5:00pm-10:30pm on Tuesday – Saturday, counter and table options are available for seating with lunchtime take out options available for Friday and Saturday. At Bar Masa guests can enjoy a variety of grilled, fried, raw, rice and noodle dishes all reflecting Chef Masa’s culinary expertise, as well as seasonal sushi and sashimi options. For a quick bite when you’re on the go, you can stop into Target (1863 Broadway at 61st Street) for some pre-made sushi. Located near the registers inside of a refrigerated display case, you can find packaged sushi rolls, such as a California roll or a Philly roll. For the prepared foods, snacks, and grocery selection at Target, head to the store for the most up-to-date reflection of what’s available. You can likewise stop into Melissa's Gourmet Deli (1879 Broadway at 62nd Street) for pre-made sushi, located in the same display case as the pre-packaged sandwiches, salads, hummus and fruit bowls. Also, nearby in the Turnstyle Underground Market, you’ll find Yong Kang Street, an Asian Cuisine restaurant with a food counter for made-to-order options as well as fresh packaged sushi rolls made daily.
