TCS NYC Marathon 2023
Nov 2, 2023UPDATED This year’s NYC Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 5, with its path stretching from Staten Island all the way up to the Bronx and ending back down in Lincoln Square near Tavern on the Green. You can expect lots of traffic and delays as there will be no parking and many closures on streets all over New York City on both Saturday, November 4, and Sunday, November 5.
Click here to view a memo from DOT on its construction embargo, which includes a list and map of streets impacted by the marathon. This map also indicates which streets will be affected by the marathon. Central Park West will be closed to traffic and parked cars from Columbus Circle all the way to W 81st Street, W 61st through W 64th Streets will be closed from Central Park West to Broadway, and W 65th through W 77th Streets will be closed from Central Park West to Columbus Avenue.
You can check DOT's Weekend Traffic Advisory webpage as the date gets closer or call 311 for more details. We will be sure to provide an update once we receive the City of New York's community alert with local road closures and parking restrictions.
For more information about the race, you can view the runners' timeline, course map, and list of known road closures, as well as the TCS website.
