Verify Your Party Affiliation Before Primary Election

While New York City's primary election is on Tuesday, June 22, the deadline to change your political party voting affiliation is quickly approaching – Sunday, February 14. New York hosts closed primaries, which means only registered voters who are affiliated with a political party can vote for their respective candidates. Those who are registered as Independent cannot vote in the primary. New voters can register to vote by Friday, May 28.
