Water Main Break Update 1.22.20

• West 62nd Street between Broadway and Columbus Avenue remains closed. 
• The sidewalk on the south side of 62nd Street, in front of the Allegro and alongside TD Bank, also remains closed although residents can access the building. 
• The sidewalk on the west side of Broadway between 61st Street and 62nd Street remains closed. 

We believe that services have, for the most part, been restored to the affected residential buildings; however, a number of businesses remain closed, including TD Bank, TD Ameritrade and New York Sports Club, as well as our landlord AAA. There is ongoing remediation taking place at the NYIT Auditorium. Melissa's Gourmet Deli at 62nd and Broadway is eager to open, but can't until the sidewalk reopens. 

The Lincoln Square BID's office is also closed though we are working remotely nearby. Unfortunately we have no idea when we will be able to get back into our space although fortunately we did not sustain any damage. We have had to close our Information Cart at Dante Park because we are unable to accept delivery of brochures from our member organizations. We hope to be able to continue to stock our carts at Columbus Circle and Richard Tucker Park. We are pleased to report that we have been deploying our Public Safety team at various fixed posts so that they can alert the public as to detours and closures. Our clean team continues to insure that our district remains clean!
